"Forgive me, Raphael."
— Isaac to Raphael just before he disappeared, Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure

Isaac is a major character in Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure. He is Raphael's father, but he left his son years ago, leaving him only a coin as a clue. No one knows why Isaac left, so it leaves a lot of questions for Raphael. His story is not revealed during the game.

Plot[]

Pre-Game[]

Three years previously, Isaac seems to have stolen Napoleon's casket and awoke him again. He seems to be now serving him.

End-Game[]

At the end of the game, Isaac is shown speaking to the real Napoleon, and that his body must be restored before they can do what they are planning.

Trivia[]

  • Isaac left Raphael on the street and climbed into a black car.
  • Isaac stole paintings to counterfeit them and sell the real ones on the black market to make money because Raphael was sick.
  • The concept of art forgery also appeared--or, was set to appear--in one of Shun Nakamura's previous works: there is an unused painter NPC from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), complete with models, scripts and textures. Unlike Isaac, however, the painter is uninterested in crafting forgeries.[1]
  1. Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)/Beta elements. Sonic Wiki Zone. "Painter: "They offered to pay me a lot of money to paint a forgery of a famous artist's painting of the sea. But I turned it down. I want to paint my own art, not get money for faking someone else's. Then the guy took off his hat, and said, "I've been looking for someone like you.". It was a world-famous painter! He agreed to take me on his apprentice, and he never takes apprentices! I'm so happy, I don't know what to think! I can't believe something like this would happen! I'm so glad I didn't give up.."
